Closing force of the electric actuator is measured in Newtons (N). Depending on the force magnitude, the electric actuator can close valves at different pressure differentials. The necessary force for closing is specified in the characteristics of the regulating valve.
The control signal of the electric actuator can be analog or three-position. The control signal of the electric actuator must correspond to the control signal of the controller. A detailed description of the control signals of electric actuators is given in the section Controlling electric actuators.
The stroke of the electric actuator is measured in millimeters and corresponds to the distance between the maximum lower and maximum upper positions of the actuator. The stroke of the electric actuator should be greater than or equal to the stroke of the regulating valve.
The speed of the electric actuator is measured in seconds/mm and corresponds to the time in seconds required to move the actuator by 1 millimeter.
The maximum temperature of the working environment at which an electric actuator can be used. The electric actuator itself does not come into contact with the heat transfer fluid, but heat is transferred from the fluid through the valve stem to the electric actuator stem. If the operating temperature is higher than the maximum temperature, stem coolers should be used.
The power supply voltage of the electric actuator must correspond to the power supply voltage of the controller.
