Technical specifications of relief valves

DN of the pressure regulator — nominal diameter of the opening in the connection flanges. The DN value is used to standardize the sizes of piping fittings. The actual diameter of the opening may differ slightly.

PN of the pressure regulator — nominal pressure - the maximum excess pressure of the working medium at a temperature of 20°C, at which a long-lasting and safe operation is ensured.

Kvs of the pressure regulator — the flow coefficient corresponds to the water flow in m³/h at a temperature of 20°C, for which the pressure losses at the regulator valve will be 1 bar. The value of the flow coefficient is used in hydraulic calculations to determine pressure losses.

Adjustment range — the range of pressures that the regulator maintains depends on the stiffness of the spring (setting force). Generally, the wider the adjustment range of the regulator, the lower the accuracy of pressure maintenance.
