Check valves wafer

Check valve is a direct-acting protective pipeline valve that allows the flow of the working medium in one direction and automatically shuts off the passage in case of reverse flow.

The disc of the wafer check valve is made in the form of a single flat disc or two segments of a disc that block the flow passage. The check valve opens due to the energy of the working medium. If the flow direction coincides with the opening direction, water pressure opens the disc, and in the reverse flow, the water pressure presses the disc against the valve body.

Working media

The wafer check valve is installed on pipelines transporting water, steam, and compressed air with a wide range of working pressures and temperatures. All check valves presented in our catalog can be used for water, but the possibility of using them with other working media should be clarified with the suppliers.

Application field

The installation locations of check valves are determined by regulatory documentation and process requirements. For example, in engineering systems, a check valve should be installed:

• On the pressure line of each of the parallel connected pumps.
• After the water meter on the water supply pipeline.
• In the heating point on the bypass between the supply and return pipelines in case of dependent connection with a mixing unit.
