There are two types of constructions of pressure reducing valves - direct and indirect acting valves.
Indirect acting pressure reducing valves are devices in which the measuring element (pressure sensor) affects the control device (controller), which, with the help of additional energy, affects the regulating valve. Indirect acting pressure reducing valves can be assembled based on any regulating valve and virtually any controller, so they are not represented in our catalog.
Direct acting pressure reducing valves are devices in which the measuring element affects the regulating element without additional sources of energy, using only the energy of water. Direct acting pressure reducing valves are of two types - spring-loaded and diaphragm-operated.
Spring-loaded pressure reducing valves (presented in this section) maintain pressure with lower accuracy and are distinguished by the simplicity of their construction and lower cost. The valve and spring actuator serve as the measuring and regulating elements, respectively.
Diaphragm-operated pressure reducing valves (pressure regulators 'after itself') maintain pressure with high accuracy. The diaphragm serves as the measuring element, the seat valve as the regulating element, and the spring as the actuator.
