Safety valve is designed to protect pipeline systems and vessels from emergency pressure exceeding the maximum allowable value. When the set pressure is reached, the safety valve's gate will open and release the excess volume of water, which is why they are also called relief valves. After the pressure at the connection point returns to normal, the valve will automatically close.
Safety valves are used in closed-loop engineering systems with heat supply to water and in locations with possible emergency pressure increases above the permissible limit.
The safety valve is installed:
The purpose of the safety valve is to prevent emergency situations. It should not be used in schemes where, due to the technological process, the pressure periodically rises above the maximum allowable value. To solve such tasks, it is recommended to use a pressure regulator 'back to self'.
All safety valves presented in our catalog can be used for water relief, some of them are used for steam and compressed air. The possibility of using them for media other than water should be clarified with the suppliers.
