Pressure reducing valve is a direct-acting regulating pipeline fitting designed to reduce water pressure. The valve maintains a constant water pressure in the outlet without the use of external energy sources.
As the pressure increases relative to the set value, the pressure reducing valve automatically closes until the pressure in the pipeline is equal to the set value.
Pressure reducing valves are used in building water supply systems to achieve the following objectives:
Pressure reducing valves are installed on the water inlet to the apartment or house. In water supply systems where the pressure at the inlet to the apartment exceeds 4.5 bar, installation of pressure reducing valves is mandatory according to building standards. In addition, every apartment owner has the right to install a valve at their discretion.
The pressure reducing valve has a low accuracy in maintaining pressure. The pressure at the outlet of the pressure reducing valve exceeds the set value the more the degree of opening of the valve.
An analog of the pressure reducing valve with greater pressure maintenance accuracy is a pressure regulator 'after itself'.
