Pressure adjustment in the expansion tank should be performed in the following sequence.
1. Fill out the form provided in the section Expansion tank calculation, and as a result of the calculation, you will receive all the necessary parameters for setting up the tank according to the specified conditions.
2. Expansion tanks are supplied filled with gas. Before connecting the tank to the heating system, set the initial gas pressure in the tank according to the value specified in the calculation results. This may require either lowering the pressure by releasing gas through the valve or using a compressor to pump it through the same valve.
3. Connect the tank to the heating system and slowly fill it with water until the pressure in the system equals the gas pressure in the expansion tank.
4. Turn on the circulation pump and continue filling the system with water until the initial operating pressure is established at the expansion tank connection point. At this point, the tank will receive the reserve operating volume of water.
5. After connecting the heat source and switching to the mode with the maximum temperature, each kilogram of heat carrier will increase in volume by the value of the specific volume increase specified in the calculation results, and the expansion tank will receive the heat carrier in a volume equal to the useful capacity of the tank. At this time, the pressure in the tank will rise to the maximum operating pressure specified in its calculation.
