Maintenance of water flow regulators

Maintenance of the water flow regulator should be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and taking into account the following recommendations:

• It is recommended to check the settings, response speed, and accuracy of maintaining water flow once a month. The check is performed by changing the water pressure before or after the regulator, gradually closing the valve installed on the same pipeline, while monitoring the deviation of the flow rate.
• For regulators with external impulse lines, the impulse lines should be cleaned every six months. To do this, the section where the water flow regulator is installed should be disconnected, drained, and the impulse lines should be blown out. Before blowing out the impulse lines, they should be disconnected from the regulator and pipeline.
• The mesh filter installed before the water flow regulator should be cleaned as needed. The level of filter contamination is determined by the readings of the gauges installed before and after it.
