Water meter verification - is a periodic procedure for checking the compliance of the measuring device with the metrological class. The frequency of verification depends on the type of water meter. Modern models of water meters are verified once every four years. Verification of water meters is carried out by specialized organizations that have special equipment and permits from metrological authorities. To verify the flow meter, it should be unsealed, dismantled, and sent to the organization conducting the verification.
Verification is carried out on a special test bench, the principle of which is based on passing a certain volume of water through the meter and comparing the readings of the flow meter with the volume poured.
