Installation of the pressure tank

Installation of the pressure tank should be carried out by qualified specialists according to the installation instructions.

• Installation of pressure tanks with external damage is prohibited.
• The working environment parameters at the installation site of the pressure tank must not exceed the parameters set by the manufacturer.
• The platform designated for the installation of the pressure tank must withstand the weight of the tank filled with water at 100% capacity.
• The room with the pressure tank should allow for the possibility of draining water from the tank, if necessary.
• The room where the tank is to be installed must be heated. Freezing of water in the tank is not allowed.
• The elements of the pressure tank should not be subjected to static loads from the supply pipelines or other equipment.
• The pressure tank must be protected from moisture and mechanical damage.
• The weight and dimensions of pressure tanks with a volume exceeding 750 liters may complicate installation, so be sure to check if the tank will fit through doorways.
• Changes to the design of the pressure tank are prohibited.
• In the piping of the pressure tank, the installation of a safety valve is mandatory, with the full opening pressure not exceeding the maximum allowable pressure in the tank.
• A check valve must be installed on the pipeline before the pressure tank in the direction of water flow to prevent the tank from emptying into the water supply system or well.
• To conduct maintenance on the piping of the tank’s connections, a shut-off valve protected from accidental closure and a drainage valve for draining water must be installed before and after the tank.
• If the design of the pressure tank does not include fittings to prevent water stagnation and ensure circulation during water extraction, additional installation is recommended.
• The connection of the pressure tank should only be made after flushing the connected water supply system and the pipelines leading to it.
• Before installation in the water supply system, the initial pressure in the gas space of the pressure tank should be set according to the value obtained from the calculations.
