The arrow on the valve body must match the direction of the flow of the working medium.
It is not recommended to install wafer check valves too close to the flange of the fitting, as this may prevent the valve disc from opening. There is no such restriction for flanged or threaded valves.
To diagnose failure, it is recommended to install pressure gauges before and after the check valve.
Non-spring-loaded valves should only be installed on horizontal pipelines or vertical ones, with the flow going from bottom to top.
The body of the threaded and flanged check valves should not be subjected to torsional, tensile, or compressive loads from the connected pipelines.
The presence of mechanical particles in the flow may disrupt the sealing function of all check valves, except for ball valves, so it is recommended to install a filter before other types of valves.
Before installing the check valve, the pipeline should be thoroughly flushed to remove mechanical particles.
