Adjusting the pressure in the expansion tank should be done in the following sequence.
1. Fill out the form provided in the Calculation of the expansion tank section, and as a result of the calculation, you will receive all the necessary parameters for setting up the tank that meet the specified conditions.
2. Expansion tanks are supplied pre-filled with gas. Before connecting the tank to the heating system, set the initial pressure of the gas space in it according to the value specified in the calculation results. This may require either reducing the pressure by releasing the gas through the nipple, or using a compressor to pump it through the same nipple.
3. Connect the tank to the heating system and slowly fill it with water until the pressure in the system is equal to the pressure of the gas space of the expansion tank.
4. Turn on the circulation pump and continue to fill the system with water until the initial operating pressure is reached at the connection point of the expansion tank. At this time, the expansion tank will receive a reserve operating volume of water.
5. After turning on the heat source and transitioning to maximum temperature operation, each kilogram of heat carrier will increase in volume by the value of the specific volume increase given in the calculation results, and heat carrier will enter the expansion tank in an amount equal to the useful capacity of the tank. At this time, the pressure in the tank will increase to the maximum working pressure specified in its calculation.
